Vision

Shelley Kristen and Out of the Grotto Ministries vision statement can best be encapsulated with the following passages of scripture. The word of God speaks best. Proclaiming the praises of Him who called us out of the darkness into His marvelous light, from 1st Peter 2:9, is the byline scripture. As Praise and worship is the main theme of the ministry, and the King of Kings being the object of our worship, this scripture is perfect. The interchange that happens between the worshiper and the God of worship is a powerful thing. As the saints gather in one accord to lift up the mighty name of Jesus, God’s healing virtue and supernatural light is released with power that sets the captives free. If we behold Him, we will become like Him, for we will see Him as He is. Encountering Jesus in worship changes lives. A supernatural love exchange occurs, which is beyond anything this world can offer. This is the center of the heart of Shelley's Worship, and is made manifest with guest worship appearances, nights of worship in different cities, conferences, and with OUTCRY-- A Live Worship Encounter. In the book of Isaiah in chapter 61 verses 1-4 the bible says…

“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me,
Because the LORD has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,

To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”
And they shall rebuild the old ruins, They shall raise up the former desolations,
And they shall repair the ruined cities,
The desolations of many generations.

We know that Jesus is the Holy and anointed one, yet He sent His Holy Spirit to dwell in saints such as you and I to help carry out this great commission. We are humbled and honored to help with this mission along with thousands of other believers throughout the world.

Testimony, guest speaking and praying for the spiritually as well as physically ill, is the other facet of the ministry. This goes hand in hand with helping set the captives free, and bringing saints into the abundant life Christ desires for all. The anointing destroys the yoke!

Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration of the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life, and the manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit for the edification of the body of Christ. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Spiritual Covering/ Accountability

Shelley believes in the importance of submission to higher church authorities, and having proper covering and accountability.

Newsong Church, in Medford, OR, is Shelley’s home church, along with her husband Alan. Shelley and Alan have the blessing and covering of their Pastors, and are committed members of the body at Newsong Church. Team members are also submitted to home churches, and stay accountable through ongoing prayer, confession and fellowship through the worship team and home church entities.
